What the Heck is a Blog?
Ever wonder what people mean when they say “Visit my BLOG?” Wonder no more. The dictionary defines a blog as a Website that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments and often hyperlinks provided by the writer. In this class, students learn how to start a blog. If you already have a blog, students learn ways to enhance your existing blog by adjusting the appearance and editing to make the text more inviting. What are the topics you want to blog about? Who is your audience? How does this matter when it comes to inviting others to your blog?
Facebook: Explained
Facebook: privacy, pics, status updates, profile, tagged, messages, news feed. These and more Facebook lingo puts you in the know! Become an expert! In this class we cover the basics of your profile and the various areas of the main sign-on screen. You especially want to learn how to set the complex privacy settings. Enjoy the social network of the computer. Find friends you have not seen in years. See what friends and family post. It’s all possible on Facebook.
Google and Gmail
Understanding Google can be a challenge. It has so many components it can be hard to keep up with them all! This class helps you sort out the applications that are for you and a little about how to use each of them.
How to Grow a Website
A lot of people think they can create a website themselves. YOU CAN! This class focuses on growing a website out of a BLOG! It’s simple, easy to update and change at a moment’s notice. This class gives you the tools to get started with your own website garden. ALSO, a $25 gift certificate will be given to one lucky attendee. If a website is in your future for any reason at all, this class is for you!
iPhone for Beginners
Everyone seems to have an iPhone these days. But do you really know the potential of that thing in your hand? Or does it “do” things that just drive you crazy when you know there must be a better way? Then this is the class for you. Learn the basics for how to use your iPhone. In this class we cover all the basics of apps like maps, phone, messages, calendar, mail, music and so much more!
